As Art Director for Ad 2 Minnesota’s first Ad 2 Public Service team, I had the privilege of collaborating with The BrandLab, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering BIPOC youth to transform the marketing and advertising industries. Our team created a two-part, year-long marketing campaign: a refreshed set of materials to align with their simplification plan and promotions for an in-person fundraising event.
In addition to event photography, I designed all materials for the fundraiser, ensuring a cohesive visual identity. Using a bright green and blue palette complementary to The BrandLab’s existing colors, I set a tone that was both vibrant and on-brand.
Extending our strategy to social media, we organically reached first-time audiences to build onto The BrandLab’s existing following. In May 2024, the fundraiser collected almost $10,000, provided evergreen templates for future use, and won first place at the Public Service competition during the AdMerica conference.
